Welcome
to the Champion Community
Wayne & Julie, LOT 134, Delight Way.

Both Julie and Wayne are local from Perth. They both met each other in 1977 and got married in 1982. They are blessed with 2 children and 9 grandchildren.

“Charlie” is their cute furry friend who is a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer. Wayne has worked in the Automotive Industry for a total of 46 years, including his own Auto Masters Franchise where Julie worked alongside him as the Office Manager. Julie previously worked with I.H.B.F and ladies with disabilities.

Travel is a massive interest for both Julie and Wayne, they have been to many places all over the world including Europe, Canada and Greece. They have plans to travel again in their retirement, Bali and Africa!

Other interests for Julie include gardening, craft, dancing and gym. They both enjoy caravanning, keeping busy with the grandkids and catching up for regular luncheons with their friends. Whilst they have a few people they already know in the Village, they have enjoyed meeting new people attending the resident functions and enjoy the regular Friday night Sundowners.

Wayne and Julie chose this Village not just because they needed to downsize, but for the location and love that it’s family orientated.
Welcome

Also Welcoming:

Norman & Jill at LOT 142
Deb & James at LOT 143
Trish & Len at LOT 144
Stuart & Jenny at LOT 145
Sharon, LOT 140, Delight Way
Sharon was born in England and came out to Perth in 1991, she married in 1985 and has two children and four grandchildren. Sadly Sharon lost her husband recently prior to moving into the Village.

For over 20 years, Sharon has worked as the bar manager at The Elizabethan and is still currently working there.

Her beautiful fur babies, 15 year old “Harry” and 18 month old “Gizmo” both Pomeranians, are a huge part of Sharon’s life. She is looking forward to spending more time training Gizmo.

Sharon enjoys Pilates and spending time with her friends and family. Her good friends Julie & Wayne from Lot 134 and Robin & Stephen at Lot 174 whom she has known for many years, made it an easy choice moving to this Village. She likes that the Village is family orientated and quotes “I am very happy to be here”.

You’ll most likely see Sharon joining in on the Quiz & Bingo nights and social activities very soon!

Christmas Lights Display Winners

Congratulations to everyone who created a fantastic Christmas lights display this year. The Village looked amazing!!

On the 22nd December, we announced the winners.

Judged by Vicky from Bunnings:

  • First place went to Ron & Denise at LOT 9
  • Second place went to Dave & Elaine Ullah at LOT 48
  • People’s choice award went to Ron & Denise

All well deserved!

There was also a special award donated by a resident for a person who is always there to help people and does so much around the Village wherever and whenever it’s needed.

It was awarded to Dave Ullah — a very well-deserved award!

Many thanks to Bunnings for their generous donations. Bunnings Warehouse

Hello to all residents, A Happy New Year to you all.

We are very pleased to share that the Saturday morning FLOURISH group will be ongoing.

Please pop into the lodge Saturday mornings between 9:30 & 11:00am for a cuppa & a chat. You may meet some new residents or even reacquaint with some older ones.

Everyone is most welcome, so why not give it a try.

If you have any questions or need some help or support to attend the Flourish group, then contact either Ann at Lot 85 or Lorna at Lot 59 on the intercom.

Looking forward to meeting you.
Best wishes,
The FLOURISH Group

“Wishing you 12 months of prosperity, 52 weeks of happiness, and 365 days of love.”

RESIDENT REMINDERS
Please do not put household food scraps in the skip bin:

The Skip Bin Company refused to empty bins on 5th January due to multiple bags of residents’ waste. Ben had to fish out all the bags and dispose of them.
No Food Scraps
Visitor Parking / Resident Vehicles:

In accordance with resident lease agreements, resident vehicles must be stored in house garages.

If you see a vehicle parked across a footpath or driveway, please contact the office so that we can place a notice on the vehicle. If you require a short-term temporary parking solution, please speak to management.

Our goal is to keep our village community clean and safe. Thank you for your understanding.

Speeding in Village:

If you see services such as the Bin Truck, Posty, or Silver Chain speeding, please get a photo of the registration number and report to the office so we can take further action.

Please remember, residents are responsible for their visitors and carers to abide by Village Policies. Repeat offenders will be issued a breach notice.

MANAGEMENT UPDATE

Resident Budget Reconciliation for the 2024–2025 Financial Year meeting held 6th November.

Resident Q&A Meeting held Thursday December 11th 2025.

Thank you to all who got into the Xmas spirit and put up lights and decorations both in the lodge and at your homes, they really look fantastic. Also, congrats to the committee for organising a successful resident Xmas party with a record number of attendees. Not a small feat organising such a big event and all credit to the committee for their efforts. Thankfully with lodge extensions and renos we have been able to almost double our capacity which enabled more residents to attend.

General Village Maintenance currently being undertaken for all homes:

  • Air Cons servicing is almost up to date, 15 still remaining to be completed in Feb, all homes to be serviced every 12 months.
  • Letter box painting 50% completed, Bunnings replacing some under warranty.
  • Garage door pull cords, 40 homes replaced so far, remainder to be completed in Jan.
  • Gutter cleaned completed this month.
  • Shale has started to repair render on stage 1 homes and will continue throughout summer and autumn.
  • Hot water system has been replaced for the lodge due to intermittent issues.
  • Warranty periods documentation policy to be completed for next Q and A.
  • New entry sign draft design for committee approval – with requested street numbers and larger street name print. Location to be on the limestone angled wall at entry gate.
  • New Tables and Chairs purchased for lodge, new table trolleys and storage cabinets have been installed. On the 15th of December we have 6 new tub chairs being delivered, if we like them we can get more for the lodge extension which is underway.
  • Solar Exemption now approved, further info on batteries next Q and A.
  • Issues with lodge internet – it has recently bought out by TPG, since then we have had many issues. Plan to change to Think Data internal network next week. Rob is still working on cameras and intercoms and it is suggested that we set up another Q and A with Rob in the new year to voice our concerns.

Next Q and A: Thursday 5th of Feb.
