September Newsletter 2019

Welcome to our Champion Lakes newsletter & congratulations to Alan & Carol who have just moved into their new home, built in just 12 weeks!

Alan and Carol have moved to Champion Lakes from Chidlow with their pets Milo, Perkins and Dash. Carol recently retired from nursing and Alan is currently working as a Loco Mechanic. They are both looking forward to traveling in the caravan and enjoying spending time with their grandkids. We are very fortunate to have such a great couple joining the village family.

Thank you to Denise, Ron, Ellen, Erol, Dave, Sue, Sylvia, Alan and Musical Mayhem for participating in our Home in WA video.

If you missed the program on Saturday you can watch it here on:7PLUS     https://7plus.com.au/home-in-wa

Sunday September the 8th was National Grandparents Day, in recognition of grandparents and the contributions they have made throughout history.

The purpose of the day is to honor grandparents and help children become aware of the love, strength, knowledge and guidance grandparents offer.

One of the many benefits of living in an over 55’s community is the convenience of shared facilities and services. Champion Lakes was recently introduced to a lovely local hair dresser by the name of Jackie Clark. Jackie comes highly recommended by our resident Ellen and the Senior Citizens Centre in Seville Grove. Jackie does home visits and can be contacted on 0427988394 if anyone is interested.

FUNDRAISING FOR LEUKAEMIA AT C.Y.O’CONNOR PUB.

A great time was had by all at the pie throwing fundraising evening at C.Y.O’Connor. Good food, enjoyable atmosphere and a great cause.

Best Wishes Jane, Keith, Leah and the Champion Lakes Team.
