March Newsletter 2020

The year is flying by so fast with the Summer days cooling down, our gardens are enjoying a shower or two which has been refreshing. Our newest residents Faye and Peter have downsized from a larger property in Mount Richon. They have an impressive automotive collection including this XW GT Falcon ute. Thankfully our village has plenty of boat/caravan storage areas to keep our residents toys safe and sound.

We love this photo of Faye and her beloved son Ian enjoying the Christmas spirit.

Sheila has also moved into her new home this month after spending the last two months holidaying in New Zealand with her Daughter and grandchildren. Sheila loves to travel and is a busy social butterfly! We are looking forward to lots of fun times ahead.

Our Display homes are now open to view by appointment. The “daffodil” display home (below) has been one of our most popular designs. At just $299,000 we only have two lots left in stage one, so its sure to go quick!

Progress on our next display home is going well with insulation & electrical all going in last week. We plan to be completed by the end of April with our next stage release coming soon.

The Hani’s Patisserie and Café have the best coffee in town! We highly recommend checking it out at number 82 Champion Dr, Seville Grove, open 6am-2pm every day for drive through coffee.

Our resident Marty has an impressive Bonsai collection and enjoys pottering in his garden. Marty is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to plants and often gives advise to our gardener Kylie on our landscaping projects.

Wishing all our over 55’s good health and wellbeing during these uncertain times of the coronavirus. May we all work together to achieve the best possible outcome.

Best Wishes Keith, Jane, Leah, Ben and Family.

January Newsletter 2020

Welcome to our January Newsletter, our new residents Fred, Kate, Archi and Joanne joined the Champion Lifestyle family this month.

Fred and Kate have moved from Mandurah, Kate grew up in Roleystone and enjoys gardening and Fred is a talented wooden toy maker. Along with them came this amazing stag horn which is now proudly displayed at the community lodge for all to enjoy.

Archi and Joanne have moved from Success, they enjoy traveling and have recently visited Amsterdam and Norway.

School Holidays have come and gone with many of our grandparents finding ways to entertain the kids. Our resident Robin generously donated a piano to the lodge and even gave up her time to teach the kids some songs, which they really enjoyed. Thankyou Robin.

Our Australia Day consisted of an afternoon get together on the front lawn, there was talk of a game of cricket and the bat and ball ready to go, but after settling in with a couple of beverages it was easier to relax instead!

Next month we will commence building a new display home which will be completed in just 10-12 weeks! Please stay tuned for progress updates throughout our next newsletters.

Best Wishes,

Keith, Jane, Leah, Ben and the Champion Lakes Team.

December Newsletter 2019

Welcome to our Champion Lifestyle Newsletter.

The festive season has been extra special this year as our village family grows so does the social atmosphere. Thank you to everyone for contributing, the feast and entertainment was enjoyed by all, despite the suburb power outage at 9pm, the party continued well into the night with guitars and singing under the alfresco solar Christmas lights!

We also found Santa on the roof helping out with the next house build which put a smile on everyone’s face when he climbed down and accidentally split his red pants!

Kev and Marg moved into their new home on the 30th of December just in time for a celebratory new years drink to bring in 2020! Kev has had many years experience as a fire fighter which I’m sure he knows all to well the devastation that has impacted so many families this holiday period. We are all thinking of you at this difficult time.

Linda and Tony have a new addition to the family, Bella is a very cute puppy who has already learnt to sit, fetch and shake hands. She gets her good looks from her mum and feisty playful attitude from her dad!

To ensure our village landscaping continues to look beautiful, we now have a new team member named Kylie. ‘Smiley Kylie’ comes highly recommended by other Retirement Villages and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to gardening.

Please say hi to Kylie if you happen to see her around the grounds.

I was fortunate enough to spend new years with my family in beautiful Lucky Bay this year. We enjoyed many beach swims and wildlife including Kangaroos, Dolphins and even found a massive python snake sunning himself on a rock!

We are all looking forward to an exciting 2020 year ahead!

Best Wishes Keith, Jane, Leah, Ben and the Champion Lakes Team.

November Newsletter 2019

Welcome to our Champion Lifestyle November Newsletter.

This month we welcomed four new residents into the village!

Anne moved from Champion Lakes to Champion Lakes! Although she enjoyed living close to the Regatta, she now enjoys great company and security in her new Daffodil design home. Anne is currently working as a teachers aid and looks forward to booking another overseas holiday hopefully very soon!

Robin, Marty and Ben moved from Kelmscott into their new Rose design home. Marty has an amazing bonsai collection and Ben’s cat went walk about on the first day but thankfully came home for dinner and has now settled in nicely.

As well as being pet friendly, our village is surrounded by wildlife, trees and a relaxing atmosphere for residents to enjoy.

November has brought us the perfect weather to enjoy an outing to Hillarys Boat Harbour Sorrento Quay with a banquet of fish & chips for lunch.

Our Open Day was a great success with 140 sausages cooked and 96 coffees made, we met lots of new faces and enjoyed a day of entertainment by the Heart Beats Band. Thank you to everyone who helped out ( especially Bailey and Teal ) as we look forward to growing our village family together.

Congratulations to Lee and Rosemary who fell in love with the Orchid design on the open day! Also congrats to Lez who reserved the poppy design on lot 21. Their new lifestyles await in 2020!

On the 1st of December we switched on the Christmas lights and enjoyed a sundown drink and nibbles. Thank you to Ron and Denise for decorating the village, let the holiday spirit begin!

Wishing everyone a Christmas full of fun, laughter and lasting memories.

Best Wishes Keith, Jane, Leah, Ben and the Champion Lakes Team.

Sunday September the 8th was National Grandparents Day, in recognition of grandparents and the contributions they have made throughout history.

The purpose of the day is to honor grandparents and help children become aware of the love, strength, knowledge and guidance grandparents offer.

One of the many benefits of living in an over 55’s community is the convenience of shared facilities and services. Champion Lakes was recently introduced to a lovely local hair dresser by the name of Jackie Clark. Jackie comes highly recommended by our resident Ellen and the Senior Citizens Centre in Seville Grove. Jackie does home visits and can be contacted on 0427988394 if anyone is interested.

FUNDRAISING FOR LEUKAEMIA AT C.Y.O’CONNOR PUB.

A great time was had by all at the pie throwing fundraising evening at C.Y.O’Connor. Good food, enjoyable atmosphere and a great cause.

Best Wishes Jane, Keith, Leah and the Champion Lakes Team.
